Teaching & Learning
Keep an eye on this page for all key updates and changes to your teaching, from how your classes will be held through to where to access learning resources.
In light of on-going restrictions and the closure of Birkbeck buildings, all lectures, seminars and workshops are taking place online during Semester 2. Every student can continue to book a weekly virtual one to one session with a lecturer.
Your safety remains our top priority, and if Government advice changes in response to further outbreaks of coronavirus we may have to change these arrangements at short notice.
You have full access to ebooks via BOLD (Bloomsbury Institute Online Library and Databases) whilst studying from home (as well as on campus!).
You can also find the link to BOLD on Canvas, whenever you open your module materials.

Exams and assessments
Exams and assessments will not be run on campus and alternative arrangements have been made.
All on-site exams and time-constrained assessments (TCAs) will be conducted online through Canvas submission and quiz areas.
Here’s how it will work:
- Your exam or TCA will be available at exactly the same time that the face-to-face exam would have started.
- Instructions on how to complete the exam or TCA will be provided in Canvas
- For your exam, you will submit an Exam Answer Sheet into a normal Canvas submission area.
All other assignments will be submitted online as normal.
