Our Community

“We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their colour”

Maya Angelou

The aim of our Alumni is to create a vibrant, global network of passionate and driven individuals,  with rich and numerous opportunities, ensuring  personal and professional growth.

We’re incredibly proud of the partnerships we’ve developed over the years. We’ve carefully chosen organisations that share our own vision and values, to bring our students the best education and facilities.

Schools and Colleges

We aim to work effectively with our education partners, determining together how we can add value to students learning experience, careers education and contribute practically to breaking down barriers and  widening participation.

Civic Engagement

We work hard to cultivate and enhance connections with individuals and organisations beyond the institute. The Centre for Community Engagement and Learning spearheads these efforts. Read on to find out more.

The Law Clinic

The Law Clinic stands as a flagship initiative within the Centre for Community Engagement and Learning. Every year, we train students to offer guidance to individuals who cannot afford the services of a solicitor and don’t qualify for free legal aid. To ensure professional oversight, a team of solicitors dedicated to social justice supervise the students’ work on a pro bono basis. Students not studying law also contribute to the project by volunteering in administrative and management roles. The clinic focuses on housing-related legal matters, conducting weekly online meetings with the public. We also have a mobile clinic that visits communities across the UK to give guidance on legal matters where it’s most needed. To schedule an appointment or to arrange a visit of our mobile clinic, please email

Bloomsbury Radio

Students and staff have many opportunities to engage in civic activities both locally and globally. Bloomsbury Radio, a platform for news, music, and discussions, serves as an official media partner for various international conferences, often emphasising enterprise and entrepreneurship. Additionally, the station covers local events like the Bloomsbury Festival, a two-week arts and culture extravaganza held annually in October. If you’re interested in getting involved, feel free to reach out to the station by emailing

We also work with schools and community groups to equip individuals for future academic pursuits or employment. Each year, we conduct workshops on topics including communication skills, job search techniques and personal growth. If you represent an organisation and wish to have us host a workshop, please reach out to us.

Our Purpose

We’re a higher education institute with a big heart and an important purpose: we work together to break down the barriers that hold people back.  We make things happen by daring our community to be different and kind.
