NSS results – 87% of students satisfied with overall experience
Monday 8th July 2019
The 2019 National Student Survey (NSS) results are in, and we are very pleased to share that 87% of our students are satisfied with their overall experience at Bloomsbury Institute. This is not only 12% higher than our result last year (75%), but also 3% higher than the region and sector average (84%).
The NSS is an independent, widely recognised survey completed every year by final year students at over 400 universities, colleges and higher education institutes in the UK. The NSS asks questions relating to student experience to help prospective students make informed decisions on where to study.
Along with our outstanding result in students’ overall experience, Bloomsbury Institute improved upon many areas compared to 2018 and scored higher than the sector and region average across many categories and questions.
When answering the question ‘The course is well organised and running smoothly’, 79% of our students agreed, compared to a 70% average across the region and also sector.
78% of students expressed their satisfaction in the area of ‘Learning Community’, again 3% higher than the region and sector average. In particular, 72% of Bloomsbury Institute students agree that they ‘feel part of a community of staff and students’.
And an area that is particularly meaningful to us here at Bloomsbury Institute, Student Voice, scored a satisfaction rate of 79% compared to a sector and region average of 74%. Specifically 82% of students are satisfied that ‘Staff value students’ views and opinions about the course.’
This is our first NSS as Bloomsbury Institute and we’d like to thank all the students that took part. As always, we’ll be listening to your feedback and continually finding ways to improve your student experience.
