Read about Muhammad‘s experience as an Law and Legal Practice Student at Bloomsbury Institute London (BIL).

What initially stood out to you about Bloomsbury Institute compared to other universities?

Bloomsbury Institute location and NSS ranking.

Can you describe a moment or experience during your studies that had a real impact on you?

I have had many such experiences. However, two of them had the most impact.

1. Launching my radio show, “The Letter of Law”, was a turning point in my life. It gave me a voice, sharpened my ability to communicate, and, more importantly, taught me how to truly listen. Much of who I am today is because of Barra. His mentorship, encouragement, and unwavering belief in me helped shape the person you see before you now.

2. Becoming a Peer Advisor was one of the most meaningful experiences of my journey. It gave me the chance to positively impact a community that has become my home, while also learning invaluable lessons from the peers I was fortunate enough to support and work with.

How have your lecturers or support teams contributed to your academic or personal development?

The lecturers are exceptionally supportive and approachable, always guiding students throughout their academic journey. They go beyond teaching theory by giving us valuable insight into the realities of the legal profession. Through visits to the Supreme Court, the Inns of Court, and engaging career-focused sessions, they ensure that students are well-prepared for both academic success and the real world.

In what ways has studying here prepared you for your next step — whether that’s employment, promotion, or further study?

The supportive learning environment has also allowed me to build meaningful connections with lecturers and fellow students, helping me grow both professionally and personally. Most importantly, this experience has equipped me with the skills, discipline, and confidence needed to pursue future employment and continue progressing in my legal career.

How would you describe the student community and learning environment?

I would describe our learning environment and student community as inclusive and engaging. There are so many opportunities for students to grow and break out of their comfort zone. The various opportunities Bloomsbury provides, including their student led events, clubs and societies, where students can connect and network outside of their classes. As for their learning environment Bloomsbury offers many spaces, workshops, and enhancement programs where student can grow and excel academically.

After all, we are members of the human race. We are meant to have conversations, tell stories. Storytelling and sharing experiences have formed the very basis of the evolution of our species. The Wright Brothers heard stories of the flying Icarus and went on to invent the aeroplane.

If you had to sum up your experience in one sentence for a prospective student, what would you say?

You will definitely enjoy your time here.

Would you recommend Bloomsbury Institute to others? If so, why?

Yes, you would not only grow professionally but also personally.
