Dr Ashiq Zaman

Dr Ashiq Zaman is a Senior Lecturer in Business Management and External Examiner with over ten years of UK higher education experience. At Bloomsbury Institute London, he teaches Finance, Economics, and Business Management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, leading modules, supervising dissertations, and contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance. Previously, he held academic roles at Coventry University, Anglia Ruskin University, the University of Greenwich, and Glasgow Caledonian University. His research interests span financial economics, banking, institutional quality, income inequality, sustainable finance, and corporate governance.

Dr Zaman’s research focuses on financial economics, banking, market liberalisation, institutional quality, income inequality, and sustainable finance, with a focus on South and South-East Asian economies. Professionally, he is passionate about curriculum innovation, research-led teaching, and quality enhancement in higher education. He also has a keen interest in corporate governance, digital competence, and social impact in business. Beyond academia, he values student mentorship and supporting colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
