Celebrate Pride with Bloomsbury Institute and BISG
Start Time: 11:30 am
End Time: 5:30 pm
Location: Bloomsbury Institute Student Guild, Dilke House, 1 Malet Street, London, WC1E 7JN
Bloomsbury Institute and the Student Guild are very excited to be taking part in London Pride and would like to invite staff and students to join us.
To start the day, we’ll be hosting a Pride breakfast in the Student Guild at 11:30am, where we will all meet and kick-start the celebrations with a few drinks and pride-themed anthems.
The breakfast will finish at around 2pm in time for us to head over and join the Pride parade in central London which will last until around 5.30pm.
To sign up for the Pride breakfast, please register your interest on our Eventbrite page before Wednesday 3 July.
We also have 40 free tickets available for the parade starting at around 2pm. If you would like to join us and walk in the parade, please email firstname.lastname@example.org before Wednesday 3 July.
This year our group walking the parade will be Swinging Sixties theme – an ode to the start of Pride in 1969 after the Stonewall riots, and the era of the summer of love symbolising freedom and liberation. The style of the sixties is often associated with bright floral patterns, and we encourage those joining us to embrace the flower power!
Themed t-shirts and accessories to complement your parade outfits will also be available during the breakfast.
Please note: this is only open to Bloomsbury Institute students and staff.
