Dr Nadia Michail

Nadia is a qualified secondary school teacher and has worked as a supply teacher in mainstream and special schools in the West Midlands. During her PhD studies she was also an academic support worker for the disability and learning support services at the University of Birmingham. After the completion of her PhD (Dyslexia in HE) she worked as a lecturer at the University of Birmingham (Dyslexia Studies) and later in the University of Loughborough as a Disability Adviser.

Interests

She is interested in life histories as she believes it can give you a more holistic idea about a person’s experiences and beliefs. She is passionate about Disability and Inclusion and believes everyone should be given the same opportunities in life. She is an advocate of the Social Model of Disability. In her spare time she likes to watch movies, visit different restaurants, be with her friends and enjoy life.
