Dr Nadia Michail
Disability and Wellbeing Advisor
I am a qualified secondary school teacher and I have worked as a supply teacher in mainstream and special schools in the West Midlands. During my PhD studies I was also an academic support worker for the disability and learning support services at the University of Birmingham. After the completion of my PhD (Dyslexia in HE) I worked as a lecturer at the University of Birmingham (Dyslexia Studies) and later in the University of Loughborough as a Disability Adviser.
I am interested in life histories as I think it can give you a more holistic idea about a person’s experiences and beliefs. I am passionate about Disability and Inclusion and I believe everyone should be given the same opportunities in life. Advocate of the Social Model of Disability. Interested in improving the students’ and staff’s wellbeing.
In my spare time I like to watch movies, visit different restaurants, be with my friends and enjoy life.
