I am the Student Advice and Engagement Manager at Bloomsbury institute, in this role I have involved in a range of initiatives to support student engagement and support as well as monitoring a range of data and analytics.
Prior to this I was the Success and Transition Coordinator at the Institute for Contemporary Music and Performance (ICMP) where I undertook projects to support students with the transition into higher education as well as supporting students to succeed in their studies. This included overseeing the personal tutoring programme for all first-year students. I was also the Widening Participation Officer for the University Centre Southend where I managed the Access and Participation Plan.
Through my background of working in a range of higher education providers I have gained a detailed knowledge student success, engagement and widening participation.
Interests
My PhD focused on Slavery by the Knights Hospitaller in Rhodes and Malta. While I was undertaking this research at Cardiff University, I ran a school’s outreach programme part time called ‘Share with Schools’, this programme targeted schools around Cardiff with low rates of progression into higher education, run this helped to develop my passion for widening participation and supporting students.
I only moved to London a couple of years ago, so I spend my free time exploring the city and visiting museums.
