I am a Foundation and Business Lecturer here at Bloomsbury Institute. As a Foundation Lecturer, I am responsible for getting students back into learning by building their confidence and providing them with practical study skills at a degree level.

I have been a higher education lecturer since 2004, principally in Academic and Study Skills, Professional Skills, Business English and Business in the UK and overseas. As well as working in universities teaching undergraduates, I have designed and taught courses in a university Extra-Mural department. Whilst abroad, I also ran my own Educational Services company specialising in Academic Skills and Business subjects.

Interests

As part of my Master of Education studies I researched and wrote a dissertation on a Critical Discourse Analysis of a popular textbook series further to my interest in Linguistics. It was at this stage that I also conducted research on the benefits of Extended Reading in the acquisition of vocabulary compared to other communicative activities. In more recent times, my interest and focus have been on Business subjects such as Leadership and Management.
