Learning Enhancement

Learning Enhancement is here to support you with your academic skills and language so that you can reach your full potential.

What is Learning Enhancement?

You won’t find Learning Enhancement on your timetable, Learning Enhancement is driven by you. Our Learning Enhancement service exists to help you to develop your academic skills, providing personalised advice and tips that will help you to develop confidence throughout your degree.

You can learn more about some of the ways Learning Enhancemement can support you below. If you would like support from Learning Enhancement, all you have to do is ask!

How can Learning Enhancement help you?

One-to-ones

Are you struggling with a study skill such as paraphrasing, referencing correctly, or even just one prickly assignment? Book in a one-to-one and we’ll talk through the best practice at your own pace. These sessions can take place in-person or online. We can also help you to prepare for an assignment, resubmission or exam.

Presentation feedback

Sometimes it can feel nerveracking to present infront of a class or for your lecturer. Practicing in a safe environment will help you to build confidence and get some friendly feedback before you do it for an assessment.

Assessment feedback

Email your written assignment at least 5 days before the due date and we can provide you with some written feedback on how to improve.

Workshop requests

Has something passed you and some of your classmates by? If you know a few students would like some help on a particular issue, then Learning Enhancement can run a pop-up workshop on this study skill topic.

Online study

Improve your academic ability by visiting the Learning Enhancement Canvas page. Materials are added throughout the year, so look out for new lessons. You can also request for mini online courses to be created on specific areas.
