Foundation Year – Bloomsbury Institute London

Foundation Year

You will have the opportunity to implement or create your own business idea, and take it through to creating your own website ready to launch into market (should you wish to). The journey that you take and what you learn on the way will mean that when you complete our innovative Foundation Year you will be prepared to successfully undertake your degree at Bloomsbury.

Accelerated Degree with Foundation (degree in 3 years)

Bloomsbury Institute pioneered the Accelerated Degree with Foundation. We remain unique in our ability to offer you the opportunity to graduate in 3 years with a professional body accredited degree, joining us with your GCSEs or equivalent, or we will interview you to see what experience you bring. For UK and Ireland students – this programme can be fully funded via the Student Loans Company which is unlike most other Access to Higher Education courses, and for our International Students this represents excellent value for money to study at the heart of London.

You will study the Foundation in the first two terms, and it will prepare you to undertake the 2 year Accelerated degree. The route from GCSE or equivalent to graduating with a degree has never been simpler or shorter. This route is challenging but the reward is amazing.

This is an integrated programme.

BA Business Management & Foundation Year (3-Year Accelerated)

BSc Accounting & Foundation Year (3-Year Accelerated)

LLB Law & Foundation Year (3-Year Accelerated)

3 Year Degree with Foundation (degree in 4 years)

The Foundation is the same as the Accelerated but the degree stage (Level 4, 5 +6) is a degree taught over 3 years and provides you with more module choices

This is an integrated programme.

BSc Accounting & Foundation Year (4-Year)

Entry Criteria

Applicants require five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualifications), including English Language.

International equivalent qualifications are also accepted.

Home students who do not meet these entry requirements can take our English Language assessments and attend an interview. If you pass, you can be admitted to the course. We do not charge a fee for this.

You must have completed Year 11 (Key Stage 4) at least 2 years before you start the course. This would normally mean that you will be 18 years old or above when you start.

International applicants for whom English is a second language require IELTS for UKVI Academic at 5.5 (minimum 5.5 in each skill sub-set). We also accept the Password Skills Plus Test.
