On Your Side is the only UK-wide support and reporting system for anyone who identifies as East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) who has experienced racism or any other forms of hate. It is free to use and available in multiple ESEA languages. The staff are trained in cultural competency as well as trauma-informed approaches.

Rape and Sexual Assualt
Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA)Many specialist support agencies offer an Independent Sexual Violence Adviser
(ISVA) service to victims/survivors of rape and sexual assault.


An ISVA is trained to look after your needs, and to ensure that you receive care and understanding. They will help you understand how the criminal justice process works, and will explain things to you, such as what will happen if you report to the police, and the importance and process of forensic DNA retrieval. An ISVA is there to provide you with information only so that you can make the right decision for you. By contacting them, you are not expected to report any offence to the police.

Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) offer medical, practical and emotional support to anyone who has been raped,
sexually assaulted or abused. SARCs have specially trained doctors, nurses and support workers to care for you.
 
Survivors Gateway – Survivors’ Gateway is a website that connects people who have experienced sexual violence with specialist services in London.

Survivors UK (for men)
– Support and help for male and non-binary survivors of sexual violence, providing counselling, practical help and community on your healing journey.
They provide one-to-one counselling services (delivered face to face, by telephone and online), groupwork counselling, an independent sexual violence advisor (ISVA) service, an online national helpline, and a civil law clinic.

This service provides practical help and advice, and emotional support for those who have been, or currently are experiencing domestic abuse.

ManKind – For me – A confidential helpline for male victims of domestic abuse and domestic violence across the UK as well as their friends, family, neighbours, work colleagues and employers.
They provide an information, support and signposting service to men suffering from domestic abuse from their current or former wife, partner (including same-sex partner) or husband.
