Having started my career as a civil servant, I have spent 30 years advising on the development of risk and governance solutions working in big-4 and mid-tier professional services firm. I have worked across a range of industries and sectors and have built start-up risk advisory practices and operated as an equity Partner in a number of firms. I have also worked and advised executives and non-executive Boards on governance and risk solutions.
Having worked with companies and advised on how Boards can be more effective, I have always sought to find common ground to deliver creative solutions. My experience encompasses working in highly regulated sectors and I have advised on legal and regulatory compliance across these industries and sectors.
Interests
Although my sector and industry experience is broad, I have worked extensively with Higher Education establishments delivering a range of assurance and consultancy assignments. It is a sector I am passionate about, a sector that is largely funded through government loans, but a sector that needs to operate commercially to deliver high quality education.
