Why study law at Bloomsbury?

There are many reasons students choose to join our close-knit learning community. Check out some of the most common reasons law students choose Bloomsbury below.

Engage in Mock Courts and Mooting

Our law school provides practical legal knowledge which is put into real-life practice.

Learn legal and employability skills

As well as legal knowledge, you’ll gain research and transferable skills on our courses.

Volunteer at Bloomsbury Law Clinic

The law impacts everyone, so why just keep it in the classroom? Our law school works with communities in London to provide expertise and real-life learning. Our students can also gain clinical experience by providing legal advice at the law clinic, a free service supervised by our School of Law.

Accredited by CILEx Regulation

Our LLB course is the first and only LLB course to be accredited by the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) Regulation. Our graduates will be exempt from the whole CILEx professional education standards assessments should they choose to register as a Chartered Legal Executive.

Accessible admissions

Our law school is proud to welcome students from all backgrounds. We take accessibility seriously. If you have the potential and ambition to succeed in higher education, we want to make that happen. Our academic and professional services staff will support you to successfully negotiate whatever challenges you face. From day one, our Admissions team will give you ample opportunity to show you have what it takes to study at this level. If you’re not quite ready, we can refer you to one of our further education partners where you can skill-up and work for the necessary qualifications to join us.

Bursaries, funding and support

Travel bursaries and a free laptop are part of our commitment to making education accessible for all.

I came here to discover something that I thought was lost to me after 32 years of working in one company. For me, the support network in Bloomsbury is second to none; I’ve never known something to be so extensive.
