I’m extremely passionate about higher education, having worked in the sector for more than 15 years, at institutions including Middlesex University, the University of Hertfordshire and UCAS.
I have considerable experience spanning various stages of the student journey, including outreach, education liaison, recruitment, marketing and admissions.
I’m an experienced, confident communicator and influencer with a track record in building positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
In my current role as Director of Admissions, Compliance and Risk Assurance, I provide inspirational leadership and operational management of the Institute’s admissions and compliance functions, with a particular focus on demonstrating and ensuring compliance with, for example, the Office for Students Regulatory Framework, UKVI regulations, GDPR, Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) regulations, the Prevent Duty and more.
Interests
I am passionate about widening participation and raising the aspirations of those less likely to apply to Higher Education. Bloomsbury Institute is the perfect fit for me, as we proactively encourage applications from those of all ages and backgrounds and support them throughout their studies to help them succeed.
I am a former Trustee, now Champion, of Up on Downs, a parent-run charity organisation which supports families of those with Downs Syndrome. As a mother of a child with Downs Syndrome, I’m keen to ensure he benefits from the same opportunities as everyone else, not least, a good education.
