Staff Handbook

We are a higher education provider delivering accounting, business and law degrees within a uniquely supportive environment. Originally founded in 2002 as the London School of Business and Management, our vibrant learning community consists of around 70 members of staff and 1,000 students – with plans to progressively increase student numbers to 2,000.

Located in the heart of Bloomsbury, central London’s academic and intellectual hub since 2002, we’re surrounded by the best our great city has to offer.

We believe that education has the power to transform lives by unlocking the potential in each and every one of us. When they join us, students are offered a warm welcome into an inclusive community committed to supporting them on their journey of transformation and learning. A student’s potential, not their past, is what secures a place here.

That’s why we’re recognised for our strong commitment to widening participation, offering disadvantaged and underrepresented students access to higher education. Our degrees are validated by the University of Northampton which we design, develop and deliver.

In 2021-22, we are delivering 4-year (with a foundation year) and 3-year undergraduate degree programmes in:

  • BA (Hons) Business Management
  • LLB (Hons) Law
  • BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Management

Specific to Business Management, we are also running a 1-year top-up programme.

Through a progression agreement with Birkbeck, our graduates are granted unique access to a huge range of Birkbeck’s postgraduate courses. We’re going from strength to strength and these are exciting times for Bloomsbury Institute.
