Entry Requirements

We accept a range of UK Level 3 qualifications, from your typical A-Levels, to Access to HE Diplomas.

A Levels

Standard entry: 104-120 UCAS Tariff Points, depending upon the course applied to. This roughly translates to BCC-BBB in grades.

We may also take AS Levels into account, provided they are not studied in the same subject as your A Level.

Access Courses

Standard entry: 45 Level 3 credits, including between 9 and 24 credits at Distinction, depending upon the course applied to.

BTEC Level 3

We accept a range of different BTEC qualifications, including the BTEC Extended Diploma (from 2010) and National Extended Diploma (from 2016). We also look at a combination of BTEC diplomas with other Level 3 qualifications.

Standard entry: 104 – 120 UCAS Tariff Points.

Cambridge International A Levels

Standard entry: 104-120 UCAS Tariff Points.

European Baccalaureate

Standard entry: Overall Grade of 70-74%, dependant on your chosen degree course.

Extended Project Qualification (EQP)

Standard entry: We accept a completed, or soon to be completed, EPQ alongside other Level 3 qualifications.

Foundation Year Programmes

We may accept Foundation Year programmes from other universities and further education providers. Please contact us for more information – we review this qualification on a case-by-case basis.

Functional Skills

Standard entry: If our course is asking for GCSEs in Maths or English, we can accept Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English in its place.

GCSE

Some of our courses require certain grades at GCSE.

All of our courses require GCSE English Language and for our Accounting courses you will also need GCSE Mathematics.

As of 2017, GCSEs in England are graded from 9-1, instead of A*-G. We now refer to the new number grades. Please see the equivalents below:

GCSE A*-G GCSE 9-1
GCSE Grade B GCSE Grade 6
GCSE Grade C GCSE Grade 4

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Standard entry: 24-26 points in total, depending on the chosen degree course. There are also grade requirements at Higher Level subjects.
