I graduated in executive Organisational Leadership programme from the University of Oxford – Said Business School. I am an experienced and dynamic professional with skills and expertise in Organisational Leadership, Strategic Management and Change Management. I have a wealth of experience and skills gained from working as a Senior Lecturer, Module Leader and Course Leader in higher education. I have taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate for more than 10 years at different universities in the UK.
I was nominated and received the ‘Best Lecturer award’ (2016) for teaching excellence at Bloomsbury Institute. I have experience of working in diplomatic environments as a Regional Assessor (Southern Africa) for the Commonwealth Chevening Scholarship Programme, funded by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. I hold a PhD from Brunel University (West London), sponsored by Buckinghamshire New University. I am a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (HEA) and hold a PRINCE2 qualification in Project Management. I am an active researcher with interest and passion in education, leadership development consultancy, SMEs, project management and international development focusing on developing countries. The Oxford qualification in executive Organisational Leadership equipped me with valuable skills, a strategic mindset and specialist knowledge relevant for more challenging leadership and management roles in both public and private organisations.

Starting my career in HE in early 2008, I have over a decade of teaching experience in the UK. Before my current post, I worked as a sessional HND lecturer for Sales Planning and Operations from 2014 at Bloomsbury Institute. I received the ‘eLearning practitioner’ award for 2 consecutive years, 2015 & 2016. I also contributed significantly in the development of productivity-tool based internal system (Bloomsbury Institute) for automated aggregation of raw VLE data.
In the past, I was the lead trainer for a corporate training company, where I developed, planned and delivered short courses on Leadership & Change Management for foreign government delegates.
As the coordinator of professional courses for a private HE college in 2010, I developed and deployed a bespoke system to track students learning journey for quality assurance, while also being a lecturer for business subjects such as Marketing and Quantitative methods. I have also worked as an adjunct lecturer for Londonmet for business modules at Foundation, UG and PG levels.
Interest
My professional interest lies in data analytics, particularly within the learning analytics and eLearning areas.
Being a technology enthusiast, I am a strong advocate for eLearning and eBooks. I keenly contribute ideas on enhancement of virtual learning environment (VLE). I am also a keen follower of innovations in technology that has potential of improving productivity and enhancing learning experience.
My personal interests lie in riding my motorcycle, listening to music of wide genre in both western & eastern. I am also a dilettante of piano, guitar, eastern flute & tabala (Indian drums) and singing.

After graduating from the University of Birmingham in 2013, I became a financial inclusion professional. In 2015, I led a financial inclusion and behavioural economics project for the London Housing Financial Inclusion Group, in collaboration with the UK Governments Behavioural Insights team.
My career in financial inclusion inspired me to study MSc Social Business and Microfinance in Glasgow. While studying this course, I wrote a report regarding Corporate Social Responsibility. The report was published by UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), as a winner of their national writing competition. I later graduated with a Distinction and the prize for best dissertation, for my research on entrepreneurship amongst black and minority ethnic (BME) participants of the informal economy.
I have moderated panels at conferences and delivered talks at a number of events, including a TedxEuston Salon in London and the ‘Symposium on Ethics and Social Responsibility Research’ in Lisbon, Portugal.
Interests
I am an international development enthusiast, so it is not uncommon for me to spend my spare time at conferences related to this topic. I have presented at the Uganda High Commissions Education Conference to highlight the challenges and potential solutions for transitioning from education to employment in Uganda.
I occasionally volunteered at Windsor Fellowship, where we interviewed and shortlisted outstanding African-Caribbean undergraduates for a Bank of England scholarship programme.
As of 2019, I am also studying for my Doctorate.

I have worked in a natural history museum as a fossil preparator, photographer and research assistant and in marketing and student recruitment. I have also taught learners ranging from 3-years to 65-years of age in formal and informal environments for 20 years: in a Montessori pre-school, a discovery room in a natural history museum, the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town, schools in South Korea, primary and high schools in South Africa and in Bloomsbury Institute.
Interests
I am fascinated by how people learn. Teaching and learning are complex activities, but I relish the challenge of creating environments where people can overcome barriers, experience ‘aha moments’, develop skills and have fun. I love gardening, hanging out with my friends, family and cats and ‘playing tourist’ in the UK. I am fascinated by neurodiversity, marine invertebrates and cartilaginous fish and like listening to Mozart operas, cycling and reading.

I have worked as a lecturer and module leader on both undergraduate and postgraduate business course in universities in both Australia and the UK for the past 14 years. My teaching has included change management, HRM, organisational behaviour, strategic management, labour history and research methods. More recently I have been the course leader for the MBA program at Bloomsbury Institute.
In addition, I worked as a Research Assistant at the Workplace Research Centre (Previously ACIRRT) at the University of Sydney where I was involved with the ADAM database. I also worked as Research Assistant to Professor Greg Patmore at the University of Sydney on a number of large ARC Research projects. I have also held the position of editorial trainee on the Journal of Labour History.
Interests
I have been actively involved in academic research during my career. My research interests include labour management practices in non-union firms, labour history, the effect of public employment services on labour market outcomes, labour process theory and 21st century workers. My interest include labour and management history, economic theory, employment law and employee rights.

In my current role, I oversee the delivery of Accounting and Finance courses at the Bloomsbury Institute. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the British Academy of Management.
I am an experienced lecturer, with over 15 years of teaching experience in delivering Accounting and Finance modules to undergraduate, postgraduate and ACCA students. Before joining Bloomsbury Institute, I worked at the University of Hertfordshire and University of Bedfordshire.
Interests
I like to read books, academic research, and professional analysts’ reports.
I also love to play cricket, snooker and spend time with friends.
Qualifications
I have worked in Higher Education for the last 5 years as an Assessment Officer at Bloomsbury Institute. In late 2020, I started in the new role of Partnership Executive.
Before working at Bloomsbury Institute, I completed a graduate programme at Enterprise Rent-a-Car. I have also previously worked as a Youth Offenders Worker, supporting young offenders through their court orders.
Interests
I have a personal interest in the area of domestic violence, particularly the impact of domestic violence on women from the South Asian community. I have previously worked at domestic violence support agencies.
I also enjoy reading, especially novels written by authors from the South Asian background.

I am a qualified secondary school teacher and I have worked as a supply teacher in mainstream and special schools in the West Midlands. During my PhD studies I was also an academic support worker for the disability and learning support services at the University of Birmingham. After the completion of my PhD (Dyslexia in HE) I worked as a lecturer at the University of Birmingham (Dyslexia Studies) and later in the University of Loughborough as a Disability Adviser.
Interests
I am interested in life histories as I think it can give you a more holistic idea about a person’s experiences and beliefs. I am passionate about Disability and Inclusion and I believe everyone should be given the same opportunities in life. Advocate of the Social Model of Disability. Interested in improving the students’ and staff’s wellbeing.
In my spare time I like to watch movies, visit different restaurants, be with my friends and enjoy life.

I am currently Research Fellow at the Bloomsbury Institute. Prior to this, I was the Director of the Centre for Research and Enterprise at the Institute between 2015 and 2019. I have also previously held senior academic positions across institutions and geographies such as the University of East London (2003-2008), University of Sharjah, UAE (2008-2013), and the Canadian University Dubai (2013-2015).
Additionally, I am Visiting Professor of Marketing & Entrepreneurship at the Unizik Business School, Awka (Nigeria) as well as External Examiner of the MSc. Entrepreneurship programme at the Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moore’s University.

As a previous student of Bloomsbury Institute graduating from (Hons) Business Management, I had the honour to serve 2 terms as the first Student President. I then worked as the Academic Administrator for the FY which enabled me to interact with the student population from a spectrum.
I now work as SLC Finance executive and are working towards a CIMA qualification.
Both job roles have taught me much about regulations and greatened my appreciation for academia.
Interests
I enjoy the finance sector and understanding the regulations around it.
I enjoy spending time visiting new places in the world, meeting new people and trying different foods.
